POGGIO STENTI
ITALY

Poggio Stenti, nestled on the scenic slopes of Mount Amiata in southern Tuscany, is a family-run estate that exemplifies the rich agricultural and winemaking traditions of the Montecucco DOCG region. Located in Montenero d’Orcia, at the end of the Val d'Orcia, this estate thrives amidst a landscape shaped by an ancient volcano, offering a unique terroir where clay-rich soils and coastal-mountain breezes converge to create wines of deep character and distinction.

Founded in 1950 and now in its third generation, Poggio Stenti has grown from a traditional Tuscan farm into a modern winery committed to quality, sustainability, and heritage. With six hectares of vineyards—primarily Sangiovese, along with Vermentino, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Ciliegiolo—the estate produces a range of DOC and DOCG wines, including Montecucco Sangiovese, Vermentino, and a distinguished Sangiovese Riserva.

Visitors to Poggio Stenti are welcomed into a warm, family atmosphere where they can explore the vineyards, tour the recently renovated winery, and taste an array of exceptional wines. The experience goes beyond wine, offering olive oil from estate-grown cultivars, handcrafted cured meats from the family’s own butcher shop, and even saffron—recently reintroduced by the youngest Pieri family member, reviving a centuries-old tradition.

At Poggio Stenti, tradition meets innovation through sustainable, certified-organic practices and a dedication to the short supply chain, ensuring authenticity in every bottle. Whether you're drawn by the wines, the history, or the breathtaking Tuscan views, a visit to Poggio Stenti is a journey into the heart of genuine Italian craftsmanship and hospitality.
